Jesus says good trees grow good fruit and bad trees go bad fruit. Solzhenitsyn says the line between good and evil runs through every human heart, and that great theologian Batman (perhaps borrowing from Aristotle) says “It’s not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me.”

So what is the relationship between what we do and who we are? Pastor David shares stories of a sheep thief turned saint, a “paradise prison” in Norway, John Wesley’s “Fake it ’til you make it,” and an Amishman asked whether he was a Christian as a way to begin to explore these questions about identity and action.
